Divertor Development Meeting – Minutes

Visualization Requirements

  • Display the separatrix.

  • Display connection length.

  • Create a video sweeping through phi-cuts from 0° to 36°.

Baffle Maker Mechanics

  • Current visualization suggests that only the vertical target blocks particles, while the horizontal does not. → Possible code or visualization issue.

  • Question: does the flux tube possibly display values from a different toroidal location?

  • Action: test with an extremely small diffusion coefficient.

  • Action: consult Bob.

Divertor Efficiency

  • Action: consult Amit.

Sigma Surfaces

  • Issue: 5σ and 6σ surfaces are not visible.

  • Possible cause: grid resolution may be too coarse to resolve 5σ.
